Music Unlimited: Wu-Tang Clan - Chamber Music

While I'm a bit sad to see this wasn't a full-fledged Wu album, I feel that this album is fucking FANTASTIC, and that if all the members spit some shit and made it a full Wu effort, it could have been the album everybody was hoping 8 Diagrams would be. I was hoping to see a bit more input, but was more than happy to read that it was Lil Fame/Fizzy Womack coming with some devastating beats, and even happier to read that the instrumentation was not sampled from old records, but recorded in-studio by The Revelations. That, while definitely being a more economically sound decision, took shit to a whole other level for me.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and artists passed away yesterday. Michael Jackson was born in Gary Indiana in 1958. Michael Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5.

Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, commented on his passing: "Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. The entire Sony family extends our deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans around the world who loved him."

I'm a Gary Indiana native myself so the news of MJ's death really hit home for me. I give my respects to his family and to all of his fans.

will.i.am Assaults Perez Hilton!

Apparently, the front-man from the Black Eyed Peas got into a fight with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Hilton sent out two messages over twitter yesterday morning,

"I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please." and "I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."

No joke? Lol, than why am I laughing so hard? Seriously, wouldn't it have made more sense if Perez dialed the police department instead of posting on Twitter?

Sources say that will.i.am has yet to be formally charged with any wrong-doing.
